Fast Excel Workshop

To survive in today’s environment, world class manufacturers need to be lean and very responsive. You can re-schedule within a few seconds in response to changes in customer demand with a planning and scheduling system that tells you what to make and what to buy. Make reliable and achievable delivery promises to your customers and keep your delivery performance high whilst keeping your inventory and work-in-progress at a minimum. Previously this was possible only by implementing a complex ERP package, costing millions and taking years to implement. But now more and more companies throughout the world are achieving world class supply chain management by building their own systems in Excel. This workshop is very focused and skills based. It is aimed at people who already understand planning and scheduling and who already have some Excel skills and the workshop helps them put the two together. It does not teach planning and scheduling and it is NOT A BEGINNERS COURSE IN EXCEL.

Target Audience

Excel literate people from manufacturing and distribution companies who already understand the principles of Supply Chain Management but who want to automate their planning and scheduling processes without the need for programming skills.


At the conclusion of the workshop each delegate will have the opportunity to reinforce what they have learned in the workshop with the e-learning modules and then adapt the model system for their own manufacturing company. By selecting only the functionality required, and by integrating Excel with an existing external data source, implementation and training times can be dramatically less than with an ERP package.
